Since I’m doing a lot of product-manager-like things, I decided to sign up for product management meetups. Which is how I found myself at one of the select Product School events that looked useful for my day-to-day job. Figuring out what to do first is always the biggest issue for a busy multi-tasker.

It was fascinating to see how similar product management is to UX. Except that for a product manager, all the effort to understand the user revolves around improving the singular product. Not around improving the user. Perhaps it’s a more focused way of designing the service, although it seemed strangely limiting to me as well.
