Our wedding is taking place at Ravenswood Historic Site in Livermore, a Victorian country estate that is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Ravenswood was built in the late 1800s by Christopher A. Buckley Sr., known as the “Blind Boss” of San Francisco politics. While it served as a summer home for the Buckley family from 1885 to 1920, it was also one of the larger early vineyards in the Livermore Valley.

The estate includes the private cottage, a tank house, and the main building where we will be having our reception. On the site is also a working vineyard, as well as the ruins of the old winery destroyed by fire.

For our wedding, Ravenswood's reception building has a warm, lovely character that is favorable for additional artistic touches. Be prepared - Anita is a crafter at heart, and has been just waiting for the perfect excuse to go hog wild making a lot of really awesome stuff!

While we are hoping for sunny skies (and thus an outdoor, grassy ceremony and reception), rain is certainly possible! Additionally, an outdoor ceremony would ensure a special appearance by Anita's brother. Don't let that sweet, goofy face fool you. Just when you let your guard down, he'll take your food from right under your nose!

Either way, rain or shine, we are sure to have a lovely time! ❤
